Zambezi Cruises

The Zambezi River cruise is an essential and iconic experience when visiting Victoria Falls. Operating on the calm, wide stretch of the Upper Zambezi River, safely above the dramatic cascade of the Falls, the cruise offers a tranquil contrast to the thunderous spectacle downstream. Done on the Upper Zambezi River, above Victoria Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya). Boats navigate a calm, approximately 6km stretch of the river within the Zambezi National Park boundaries. The cruise meanders through numerous small islands and channels, showcasing lush riverine forests, sandbanks, and the reflective, glassy surface of the river. The distant mist ('Smoke that Thunders') of Victoria Falls is often visible on the horizon. It is an excellent opportunity for a 'water safari', where common sightings include hippos, crocodiles, elephants and abundant birdlife e.g., African Fish Eagles, Herons, Kingfishers.
