Before you go
What to pack and prepare.
A reading list compiled from travel tips and travel advice attached to each experience in our brochure.
At the Falls
Wear shoes with good grip. The mist makes the stones around the viewpoints incredibly slippery, especially at "Danger Point". In high water (Feb-May) prepare to get soaked — bring a waterproof bag for your phone and camera.

On the bridge
Carry your passport to access the bridge. It is on "No Man's Land" between the two border posts, but no visa or stamps are needed to reach the jump point. Operators emphasize adherence to international safety standards.

On the Bushtracks Express
In the winter months (May-August), the temperature drops significantly once the sun sets. Since the observation car is open-sided, it is essential to bring a warm jacket or pashmina. Dress code is Smart Casual — most guests dress up. Shorts and flip-flops are discouraged. Bring your passport, as the train enters the no-man's land on the bridge.

If you visit the falls on a full moon
You can book a special "Lunar Rainbow" tour at night, one of the few places on Earth where this phenomenon occurs.

Travelling with a child under 18 to Botswana
Specific documentation is strictly required to prevent child trafficking — these rules apply to all minors regardless of nationality. Bring a valid passport, an unabridged or certified birth certificate, and a parental consent affidavit if travelling with one parent.

If you visit Chobe
While the park is open year-round, the dry season (May to October) is widely considered the best time for a day trip. As inland water sources dry up, thousands of animals congregate along the Chobe River.

On a Boma Dinner & Drum Show evening
Try to arrive exactly on time so you don't miss the initial welcome ceremonies and can enjoy the appetizers while the first round of dancers performs.

On a Village Tour
It is customary though not mandatory to bring small gifts. Stationery, books, and pens for school children are highly valued. Avoiding sweets / candy is often recommended by ethical tour operators. Always ask permission before photographing individuals, especially children or people inside their private homes.
